Turn off your computers and escape to the parks every week this fall! Park Rangers from across our county have worked together to create Nature Escape, a weekly screen-free outdoor learning and free play experience that aims to provide a safe, creative, and energetic outlet. Each week children will explore a different theme in nature from Animal Homes and Water Worlds, to Geology and Mindfulness in Nature while parents and guardians can enjoy a midday break!

Each week, the same program will occur simultaneously across the following participating regional parks and natural areas:

6-10 years old
Please note: This is a drop-off program. Parents/caretakers are not permitted to join the program due to COVID health & safety considerations.
Dates & Times: Every Wednesday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm starting September 23 and ending on November 11, 2020

How to Register

Required each week. Participation forms are required and may be printed and emailed in advance or submitted on the day of the program. Blank forms will be available on site. Please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out forms.

$3 per child per week. Maximum of 8 children each week. No refunds.

Health & Safety

Current COVID health and safety guidelines will be enforced and masks must be worn by all participants and staff for the duration of the program. Participants and caretakers will be asked health screening questions and have temperatures taken prior to drop off.

What to Wear

Recommended clothing/items per child:
  • Face mask

  • Long sleeve shirts and pants

  • Closed toed shoes that are OK to get wet or muddy

  • Filled, reusable water bottle

  • Small snack

  • Hat

Scholarships Available

We wish to make this program fully available to any child regardless of financial challenges. Scholarships are available to cover the cost of the program for several children through our generous sponsors:
