Voluntary Water Use Restrictions Remain In Place for Crofton, Odenton, Maryland City, and Jessup Areas
Annapolis, Maryland (February 23, 2016) – A voluntary water use restriction remains in place today for public water customers in the Crofton, Odenton, Maryland City, and Jessup areas due to a broken raw water supply main at the Crofton Meadows II Water Treatment Plant. Contractors were able to make temporary repairs to the main overnight. However, until the main is completely repaired, water production at the plant will be reduced.
Full repairs are expected to be complete sometime this afternoon. In the meantime, public water customers in these areas are asked to continue limiting their water consumption to only essential uses.
