50th Anniversary of Older Americans Month Kicked Off
Annapolis, MD (May 4, 2015) – County Executive Steven R. Schuh, in partnership with the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities and the Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council, unveiled the new Maryland Access Point (MAP) Customer Service Center at Anne Arundel County Aging and Disabilities, 2666 Riva Road, 2nd Floor, Annapolis.
The new Customer Service Center features a kiosk to assist caregivers, seniors, adults with disabilities and anyone with wishes to plan their future. The Customer Service Center is a gateway to services in partnership with the Department of Social Services and the Department of Health. Community members can meet with Information and Assistance Specialists and program counselors to simply learn about what resources are available or to learn how to navigate a
Following the ribbon cutting ceremony was the kick-off of the 50th Anniversary of Older Americans Month. This celebration included food, games and entertainment. Many of the county agencies were on hand with information and resources for all who attended.
