Western District

Handgun Violation

Glen Burnie

                On November 9, 2017 at 9:35 p.m., Western District Tactical Patrol Unit Detectives initiated a traffic stop on a BMW for a moving violation in the area of Grason Road and Carolyn Road in Glen Burnie. During the traffic stop, a police canine conducted a “scan” of the vehicle which resulted in a positive alert.  During a search of the vehicle, detectives recovered a loaded Springfield XDS .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun containing six rounds and a loaded Sig Sauer 226 9mm semi-automatic handgun containing twenty rounds. Both occupants were arrested and charged with handgun violations.
