Narcotics & Special Investigations Section



CDS Violation                                                                                   Glen Burnie / Baltimore


In March of 2017 the Anne Arundel County Narcotics & Special Investigations Section’s Major Offenders Unit, Heroin Task Force, (which is comprised of members from the Anne Arundel County Police Department, the Anne Arundel County Sheriff's Office, the Annapolis City Police Department and the Baltimore Police Department) and Baltimore County Narcotics Unit began a joint investigation into the distribution of heroin occurring within multiple jurisdictions. As a result of this investigation detectives were able to obtain search warrants for 1002 Meherrin Court in Glen Burnie, 4114 Grace Court in Baltimore City, and 3940 Glenrose Avenue in Baltimore County. 


On March 21, 2017 at 5:00 a.m. the three search warrants were executed with the assistance of Quick Response Teams from Anne Arundel County, Baltimore County, and Baltimore Police Departments. As a result, detectives seized the following items during the searches:


1002 Meherrin Court (Anne Arundel County)


  • 74 capsules containing suspected heroin/Fentanyl mixture (estimated street value: $740.00)
  • 19 grams suspected crack cocaine (estimated street value: $1900.00)
  • Taurus .40 caliber handgun loaded with 10 rounds of ammunition
  • $10,580.00 in U.S. currency

4114 Grace Court (Baltimore City)


  • 5 capsules of suspected heroin/Fentanyl mixture (estimated street value: $50.00)
  • 2 grams of suspected crack cocaine (estimated street value: $200.00)



3940 Glenrose Avenue (Baltimore County)


  • 513 capsules of heroin (estimated street value: $5,130.00)
  • 16 grams suspected crack cocaine (estimated street value: $1600.00)
  • 100 mg liquid Fentanyl (estimated street value: $100.00)
  • $1,000.00 in U.S. currency
  • .30-30 Rifle 
  • 2010 Lexus LS 460

(4) Ferguson, Sheldon, 4075 McDowell Lane Baltimore MD 21227, 20 years of age


Suspects in this investigation were charged with various violations of the Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) Act to include possession and possession with intent to distribute CDS and various firearm violations.


Eastern District


Carjacking                                                                                                                 Glen Burnie


On March 21, 2017 at approximately 3:25 p.m., officers responded to the 1900 block of Crain Highway in Glen Burnie for a carjacking. Upon arrival officers met with the adult male victim, who was a food delivery truck driver. The victim reported that he was parked on the shoulder of the roadway organizing his inventory in the rear of his delivery truck.


He stated that while he was working, the suspect entered his truck and implied he had a weapon. The suspect then demanded the victim’s money, phone, and keys to the delivery truck. The victim turned the items over to the suspect, and the suspect ordered the victim out of the vehicle. The suspect then drove off with the vehicle.


After a short search, the police helicopter located the vehicle abandoned in the 7600 block of Telegraph Road in Severn. Numerous officers, including a police K-9, responded to the area but the suspect could not be located. Detectives from the Eastern District Detective Unit will be following-up on this case. The victim in the incident was not injured.


Suspect: Black male 30’s, 5’11’, no facial hair, black hoodie, red shirt, gray sweatpants, average build.


Western District


Handgun/CDS Violation                                                                                          Severn


On March 21, 2017 at 9:58 p.m. officers from the Western BAT (Beat Officers Against Drug Trafficking) unit observed a vehicle occupied by two male subjects in the 1600 block of Annapolis Road in Severn. As the officer approached the vehicle he observed the occupant in the driver’s seat pull a handgun from his jacket and place it under his leg. A search of the vehicle revealed a ROHM .22 caliber RG14 revolver loaded with four rounds of ammunition, a digital scale and 67 grams of marijuana packaged for distribution (approximate street value $1340.00).   Both males were arrested for CDS possession and distribution. Boddie was charged with additional handgun possession related charges.
