Police Press Release July 3, 2017

NORTHERN DISTRICT

Commercial Robbery - Glen Burnie

On July 3, 2017 at approximately 12:10 a.m., officers responded to the Pizza Bolis located at300 N. Crain Hwy Glen Burnie for a robbery.  The store manager stated that the two suspects entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money.  The manager complied giving the suspects and undetermined amount of currency. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.  Additional officers and a K-9 unit responded and conducted an area search but could not locate the suspect. There were no injuries.

Suspect #1: Black male, wearing dark clothing, armed with handgun.

Suspect #2: Possibly a black female, wearing a mask, and dark pants
 
 

Armed Robbery - Glen Burnie

On June 30, 2017 at approximately 2:30 p.m., officers responded to Colonial Knoll near Allen Road in Glen Burnie for a robbery of a taxi cab driver.  Upon arrival the driver was located stated that he picked up the suspect at the BWI Airport and drove him to Colonial Knoll. The suspect displayed a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. The driver complied, giving the suspect and undetermined amount of currency. The suspect then fled on foot. Additional officers and a K-9 unit responded and conducted an area search but could not locate the suspect. There were no injuries.

Suspect: Black male, approximately 18 years old, 5’6”, 160 lbs. with a dark colored shirt covering his face, white tank top, blue jeans.

 

EASTERN DISTRICT

Commercial Robbery - Millersville

On July 3, 2017 at approximately 4:45a.m., officers responded to the 7-11 located at 8529 Veterans Highway in Millersville for an armed robbery. The store clerk stated that two suspects entered the business, displayed a handgun, and demanded money and cigarettes.  The clerk complied giving the suspects and undetermined amount of currency. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.   Additional officers and a K-9 unit responded and conducted an area search but could not locate the suspect. There were no injuries.

Suspect #1:  White male, late 20’s, wearing dark clothing.

Suspect #2:  White male, late 20’s, wearing light colored clothing.

 

Commercial Robbery  - Pasadena

On June 30, 2017 at approximately 11:48 a.m., officers responded to the 7-11 located at 8539 Ft. Smallwood Road in Pasadena for an armed robbery. The store clerk stated that the suspect entered the business and demanded money and cigarettes.  The clerk complied giving the suspects and undetermined amount of currency. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.   Additional officers and a K-9 unit responded and conducted an area search but could not locate the suspect. No weapon was displayed or implied, and there were no injuries.

Suspect #1:  Black male, early 20’s, wearing dark clothing.

 

WESTERN DISTRICT

Commercial Robbery - Hanover

On July, 2, 2017 at approximately 6:43 a.m., officers responded to the Exxon Station located at 7898 Ridge Road in Hanover for a robbery. The clerk stated the suspect entered the store and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect took an undetermined amount of currency from the register then fled on foot.  Additional officers and a K-9 unit responded and conducted an area search but could not locate the suspect. No weapon was displayed or implied, and there were no injuries.

Suspect:  Black male, 6’, average weight, early 20’s, wearing a dark shirt and light colored pants.

 

Shooting - Laurel

On July 2, 2017 at approximately 2:08 a.m., officers responded for a shooting at Motel 6 located at 3510 Old Annapolis Road in Laurel.  When officers arrived they located a 36 year old male victim with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the upper body.  The victim was uncooperative with police and with the fire department. The victim would not provide any suspect information and officers were unable to establish an actual crime scene. He was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma and is stable condition.   The investigation is ongoing and Western District Detectives are asking anyone with information to call 410-222-6155.
