Weapons Offense - Severn
On July 25, 2018 detectives from Western District’s Tactical Patrol Unit (TPU) were patrolling in the Severn area of Anne Arundel County. At approximately 1:30 p.m., detectives conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation at Meade Village Road and Meade Village Circle. When detectives made contact with the occupants of the vehicle they immediately smelled the odor of marijuana. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, detectives located 56.31 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, a Smith and Wesson .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun loaded with 14 rounds, and $2,116.00.

Commercial Robbery (Update/Arrest) - Glen Burnie
On July, 17, 2018 at approximately 7:58 a.m. officers responded to a robbery at Walgreens located at 7901 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. A store employee reported that when they opened the security door, the suspect pushed them out of the way and grabbed money. The suspect then fled on foot. Employees believe that two female suspects may have been acting as lookout before and during the robbery. Several units responded to canvass the area but were unable to locate the suspect(s). There were no injuries.
Suspect:
1) Black male, heavy build, wearing dark colored clothing
2) Black female, medium build, wearing a gray sweat-suit
3) Black female, medium build, wearing light colored clothing
UPDATE (07/26/18)
Through leads provided and investigation, robbery detectives positively identified the suspect in this robbery. The suspect was located on July 26, 2018 at approximately 5:05 p.m. and taken into custody. Detectives were able to determine the two females were not involved. There are no other suspects in this case.
