Drug Arrests - Pasadena
In the month of July, detectives from Eastern District’s Tactical Narcotics Team (TNT) and Tactical Patrol Unit (TPU) began receiving complaints of drug activity in the area of Renshaw Road and River Road in Pasadena. The complaints advised that an individual in a gray Lexus was dealing drugs in the area. On July 19, 2017, at approximately 8:10 p.m. detectives were conducting surveillance on Renshaw Road and observed a gray Lexus driving in the area. Detectives followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop when the driver failed to stop for a stop sign at Elizabeth Road and Ft. Smallwood Road.
When detectives approached the vehicle, the driver stated that he had no driver’s license. While speaking with the driver, detectives observed drug paraphernalia (glass smoking device) in plain view inside the vehicle. At that time, all three occupants were removed from the vehicle. During a search, makeshift glass smoking devices (“crack pipes”) were located on the driver and rear passenger. Located on the front seat passenger was a large amount of money and several zip lock biggies of crack cocaine. All three subjects were placed under arrest and charged accordingly.
