Police Press Release for March 27, 2017

Western District

Theft                                                                                                                           Hanover

 

On March 24, 2017 at approximately 7:35 p.m., officers responded to Helzberg Diamonds located at 7000 Arundel Mills Circle Suite 457 for a theft.  Officers meet with a store employee that advised that the below suspect entered the store and began looking at a display case containing watches.  The suspect then removed a revolver from his pocket and used it to smash the glass display case. He then removed three Rolex watches and fled the store. The store employee advised that the suspect did not threaten or point the gun towards anyone. The store valued the total loss of the three watches at approximately $52, 700.

Eastern District

 

Shooting                                                                                                                     Glen Burnie

 

On March 24, 2017, at approximately 8:51 p.m., officers responded to BWMC for a shooting that occurred earlier.  Upon arrival officers met with the adult victim that had a non-life threatening wound to his left bicep. The victim stated that he was shot at approximately 8:30 p.m. by unknown suspects while walking in the area near 8005 Nolpark Court in Glen Burnie. He stated that after being shot, he walked to a family member’s house on Nolpark Court and they drove him to BWMC for treatment. Officers responded to the area of 8005 Nolpark Ct. in an attempt to find the crime scene but were unable to locate any evidence.

Citizen Robbery                                                                                            Glen Burnie

 

On March 24, 2017 at 7:01 p.m., officers responded to the area of Baylor Road and Mayo Road in Glen Burnie for a strong-arm robbery.  Upon arrival, officers met with two juvenile male victims (ages 13 and 14) who stated that they were approached by four juvenile male suspects who threatened them and demanded a portable blue tooth speaker.  The victims complied and gave the suspects the speaker . The four suspects then fled from the area.  The victims were not injured during the incident.  Officers searched the area, however were unable to locate the suspects.  All four suspects were described as teenage males wearing dark clothing.
