Police Press Release for March 23, 2016

WESTERN DISTRICT

Firearm Violation/ Possession w/ Intent to Distribute CDS - Laurel                                                                                 

On March 22, 2016 at approximately 2:40 pm, officers responded to an armed subject call in the 200 block of Red Clay Road in Laurel, Maryland. Upon arrival, officers observed a subject matching the description of the armed subject, given by witnesses, in front of the address.

As officers approached the subject, he fled on foot. Numerous responding officers assisted in the foot pursuit with the suspect, who was ultimately apprehended in the 400 block of Barbersville South. Officers recovered a Kel-Tec handgun chambered to shoot 5.56mm rifle ammunition, 11.44 grams of suspected crack cocaine with an approximate street value of $1,030 and $1,020 in US Currency. The suspect was found to be prohibited from possessing firearms. The suspect was charged with several weapon and controlled dangerous substance offenses.

1)      Juwaun Marcelle Norbrey

DOB: 04/29/92

No Fixed Address

-CDS possession w/ intent to distribute

-CDS possession not marihuana

-Handgun on person

-Possession of firearm during drug trafficking crime

-CDS distribute w/ firearm

 

EASTERN DISTRICT

 

Theft from Auto Arrest - Millersville                                                                                            

On March 23, 2016 at 4:21 a.m., officers responded to the area of Jerry Road and Jeffery Road in Millersville for a group of four to five juveniles in the area tampering with vehicles. Numerous officers flooded the area in an attempt to apprehend the suspects.  Investigation revealed that at least three different vehicles had been broken into with items removed.  Officers located the suspects behind the Old Mill shopping plaza and the suspects fled on foot.  After a brief foot pursuit, three of the suspects were apprehended.  The suspects, which were determined to be juveniles, were found to be in possession of numerous stolen items from four vehicles in the area as well as property from what we believe are thefts that have yet to be reported. The juveniles were arrested and transported to Eastern District Station for processing.  Day-work officers will be in the area this morning searching for more cars that may have been broken into.  Anyone with information is asked to call Eastern District 410-222-6145.

2)      14 year-old male from Glen Burnie
