Police Press Release for March 17, 2016
On March 16, 2016 at approximately 11:32 p.m. officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at, 4000 Ritchie Hwy South Baltimore, MD for a report of a commercial robbery. Upon arrival officers met with the clerk who reported that two unknown white males jumped the counter and pushed her out of the way before grabbing money out of the cash register. The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. K-9 and Aviation responded to the scene to canvass the area and attempt to track the suspects assisted by patrol units with negative results.

Theft from Auto Brooklyn
On March 16, 2016 at approximately 7:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of a subject tampering with autos in the area of 6th Street and Matthews Avenue. Investigation revealed that a citizen observed the suspect trying to open the door to a parked vehicle. Upon finding the door locked, the subject moved along to another parked vehicle and tried to open that car door.
At that time, the citizen came out of their residence and confronted the suspect. The suspect fled on foot but was apprehended by responding officers after a brief foot chase. As officers were arresting the suspect, a citizen pointed out some property that had been discarded by the suspect as he was fleeing from officers. Upon canvassing the area, officers located three victims in the 700 Block of Matthews Avenue who claimed ownership of the property that was removed from their vehicles.
The suspect was arrested and charged with (4) counts of Rogue and Vagabond and (3) counts of Theft.
Suspect: Darius Efron Blake, 20 years old, no fixed address
