CDS Violation Brooklyn
On March 9, 2016 at 9:00 a.m., detectives from the Northern District Tactical Patrol Unit (TPU) conducted a traffic stop on Church Street at 6th Street in Brooklyn. The stop was for the operator not wearing a seatbelt. When the detectives made contact with the driver, they smelled an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
A search of the driver and vehicle was conducted resulting in detectives recovering (48) baggies of heroin, (19) vials of crack cocaine, an additional 2 grams of heroin and $672.00 in US Currency. The driver was arrested and the 2000 Honda Accord was seized.

Western DISTRICT
Handgun/CDS Violation Laurel
On March 9, 2016, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Western Tactical Patrol Units (TPU) observed two suspicious vehicles sitting on the side-lot of the Garden Inn Hotel located at 3400 Laurel Ft. Meade Road. Upon checking the vehicles, the occupants attempted to conceal items from the detectives view. Detectives removed the occupants and conducted a search of the vehicle. As a result, detectives recovered (50) Alprazolam (Xanax) pills secreted in a paper towel.
Suspect #1 was had an open arrest warrant in Prince George’s County 1st Degree Assault. During a search of his person, detectives recovered a loaded Ruger LCP .380 caliber handgun.
