Police Press Release for January 18, 2017

WESTERN DISTRICT

CDS/Gun Arrest - Odenton

On January 13, 2017 at approximately 9:15 a.m., The Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded to 517 King Malcolm Drive in Odenton for a dwelling fire. While inside the residence, fire officials located what they suspected to be marijuana growing equipment. Fire officials notified the police department and detectives from the Special Enforcement Section Narcotics Unit responded. Detectives obtained a search warrant and during a search of the residence detectives recovered marijuana, mescaline powder, paraphernalia, and two firearms. An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect Jeffery Stuart Hall.

As a result of this operation, detectives seized the following:

  • 229 grams of marijuana (approximate street value $4,580.00)
  • 13.66 grams of mescaline powder (approximate street value $410.00)
  • Digital scale
  • Approximately 250 empty gel-capsules

  • Del Ton AR-15 .223 Rifle
  • 150 Rounds of .223 Ammunition
  • CZ USA 12 gauge tactical shotgun
  • 62 12 gauge shotgun shells

Discharge Firearm  -  Laurel

On January 17, 2017 at approximately 2:49 p.m., officers responded for gun shots heard in the area of Laurel View Court in Laurel. When officers arrived in the area, they located 10 shell casings in the roadway in the 3500 block of Laurel View Court.  Several officers responded to conduct an area canvass.  One witness was located and advised that they observed a male suspect firing a gun into the air. There were no injuries and no property damage.  No suspects have been identified as of this time and the investigation is continuing.  

Suspect:   Black male, 6’5” with long dreadlocks, no further description
