Western District

Commercial Armed Robbery - Hanover

On January 11, 2017 at 8:40 p.m. officers responded to the CVS Pharmacy at 7851 Telegraph Road in Severn for an armed robbery.   The store clerk told officers that a male entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money.  The clerk complied and the suspect took the cash and fled the area on foot.  Officers searched the area with the assistance of the police K-9 unit and helicopter, but were unable to locate the suspect.  The clerk was not injured during the incident.

Suspect: White male, 6-02 tall, 180lbs, dark clothing

Northern District

Commercial Armed Robbery - Linthicum

On January 11, 2017 at 10:02 p.m. officers responded to a holdup alarm at the Royal Farms Store located at 7201 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Linthicum. Upon arrival investigation revealed that a suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded currency. The clerk complied with the suspects demands and he fled on foot. K9 and responding units searched the area with negative results. There were several employees inside the store who were not injured during the incident.

Suspect: Black male, tall and thin, blue hat, dark clothing

Personal Injury Crash  - Linthicum 

On January 11, 2017 at 5:33pm officers responded for a head-on collision in the area of Nursery Rd and Sarah Ave in Linthicum.  A 2000 Honda Civic was eastbound on Nursery Rd approaching Sarah Ave when it crossed over the center double yellow line and struck a 1999 Honda Civic traveling westbound head-on.  Both drivers were trapped in their vehicles and after being extricated were transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with life threatening injuries.

Witnesses reported seeing the 2000 Honda driving erratically prior to the crash.  The primary cause of the crash is 2000 Honda’s failure to remain right of center.  Alcohol and drugs are believed to be a contributing factor. 

The Traffic Safety Section is handing the investigation and any charges are pending review by the State’s Attorney.
