Police Press Release for December 1, 2016
NORTHERN DISTRICT
Attempted Strong Arm Robbery / Stabbing - Glen Burnie
On December 1, 2016 at approximately 1:16 a.m., officers from Northern District responded to University of Maryland Shock Trauma, in reference to a stabbing of a citizen which had occurred at approximately 11:00 p.m. on November 30, 2016
Upon arrival, officers met with the 18 year old male victim. The victim reported that he was walking in the area of Shelly Road near Harris Heights Road when he was approached by two suspects. Suspect #1 grabbed the victim and demanded money. The victim advised he didn’t have any money and tried to pull away. The victim and suspect #1 began to fight when suspect #2 stabbed the victim in the arm and leg. The victim was able to break free and run from the scene. The two suspects fled in an unknown direction. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.
A lookout was broadcast for the suspects and several patrol units checked the area with negative results.
Suspect #1: Black male, approximately 6’0”, 165 lbs wearing a black balaclava, black hooded sweat suit and black sweat pants.
Suspect #2: Black male, 5’-9”, thin build, wearing a half-face balaclava and dark clothing
Residential Burglary - Glen Burnie
On November 29, 2016, at 10:28 a.m., officers responded to the 40 unit block of Birch Avenue in Glen Burnie for a residential burglary in progress. Officers arrived on scene and observed an open window and door in the rear of the residence. Officers searched the residence and located the suspect hiding in an upstairs bathroom and placed him under arrest. Property belonging to the home owners was found on the suspect’s person. The suspect was also in possession of burglary tools and paraphernalia. The suspect was arrested and charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, and possession of CDS paraphernalia

Residential Burglary - Brooklyn Park
On November 30, 2016, at 11:10 a.m., officers responded to the 300-block of Panorama Way in Brooklyn Park for a report of a suspicious person that was seen in a back yard of a residence. Officers arrived on scene and observed an open door in the rear of the residence. The suspect walked out of the front door and was placed under arrest. Property belonging to the home owners was found on the suspect’s person. The suspect was also in possession of burglary tools.
