Eastern District

 

Assistance Needed / Identify Family of Elderly Man                                 Curtis Bay                                                                                                                 

     On February 7, 2017 at approximately 3:15 p.m., officers responded to 7604 Energy Parkway to check on a person who appeared to be disoriented.  Upon arrival they located an elderly subject who was initially unable to provide his full name or home address.  Officers were eventually able to determine that the individual’s name to be Morton Junior Roberts with a last known address in Baltimore City.  Officers are attempting to locate any family members or emergency contacts for Mr. Roberts.  Anyone with information about Mr. Roberts is asked to contact the Anne Arundel County Police Eastern District at 410-222-6145 or 410-222-8610.

 

 

CDS Distribution Arrest                                                                                Arnold                                                                                                                       

On February 7, 2017 at 12:53 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation on Ritchie Highway at Jones Station Road in Arnold.  The officer detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle.  A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of 1441 grams of marijuana, $2,574.00 in US Currency, and a combination of prescription medication pills to include suspected Adderall, Xanax, Alprazolam and Vyvanse. Mr. Ess was arrested and charged with CDS possession and distribution related charges.

Charges:

CDS: Posse Marijuana over 10 g.

CDS: Possess-Not Marijuana (3 Cts)

CDS Poss W/Int to Dist (2 Cts)

Illegal Possession Prescription w/Int to Dist

 

 

 

Western District

 

 

Armed Robbery                                                                                             Hanover

 

On February 7, 2017 at approximately 8:25 p.m. officers responded to 1348 Ashton Road in Hanover for a hold-up alarm at the Dunkin Donuts.   Upon arrival officers met with the clerk who stated that a male approached the counter, implied he had a handgun in his jacket pocket and demanded cash from the register.  The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands.  The suspect then fled from the store.  The clerk complained of chest pains as a result of the incident and was transported to an area hospital.  Officers searched the area with the assistance of the police K9 unit and helicopter, however were unable to locate the suspect.

 

Suspect:  White male, 6’00” tall, stocky build, wearing a red hooded jacket

 

 

Armed Robbery                                                                                             Odenton

 

On February 7, 2017 at approximately 7:50 p.m., officers responded for a robbery at the Weiss grocery store located at 2294 Blue Water Boulevard in Odenton.  A male approached the pharmacy counter, implied he had a knife concealed and demanded pain killers from the pharmacist. The pharmacist complied with the suspect’s demands.  The suspect then fled from the store.  Officers searched the area with the assistance of the police K9 and helicopter, however were unable to locate the suspect.

 

Suspect:  Black male, 5’10”, 190 lbs. medium build, short hair, wearing dark clothing
