NORTHERN DISTRICT
Traffic Stop – CDS Violation Brooklyn Park
On December 17, 2016 detectives from the Northern District Tactical Patrol Unit (TPU) were in the area of the Brooklyn Park Plaza at Ritchie Hwy and Townsend Ave. At approximately 12:43 a.m., detectives observed a white Honda Accord making a left turn from Ritchie Hwy onto Townsend, which is a one way street out to Ritchie Hwy. The Honda proceeded to go the wrong way down Townsend and a traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle.
After conversing with the two occupants, a drug detection dog was called. The dog alerted on the car and a search was conducted by detectives. A Clorox wipes container was located, and within it, detectives found a false bottom under the cloth wipes. Inside the compartment were 17 $20 vials of crack cocaine, 15 $10 bags of heroin and a baggy containing approximately 6.5 grams of crack cocaine. Two scales were also found in the vehicle. Both occupants were arrested and transported to Northern District.
A search of the driver at the district resulted in the recovery of approximately 3 grams of crack cocaine from his sock, and $486.

Robbery Brooklyn Park
On December 17, 2016 at 1:21 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of 18th Avenue in Brooklyn Park for a citizen robbery. The adult male victim told officers he gave a ride to an adult female from the area of 1st Avenue and Ritchie Highway. During the ride, the female suspect demanded money. When the victim refused, the suspect sprayed him with pepper spray and took cash and personal property from him. She then fled on foot from the area. Officers were able to develop a possible suspect staying at the Budget Plaza. Lakeisha Lyle was positively identified by the victim and arrested. The pepper spray canister was recovered during the arrest.

WESTERN DISTRICT
Robbery (Pizza Driver) Severn
On December 17, 2016 at approximately 11:00 p.m., officers responded to 1800 block of Hawk Court in Severn for a robbery of a pizza driver. The adult male delivery driver for Pizza Bolis advised he was delivering a pizza to in the 1800 block of Hawk Ct around 10:20 p.m., when an unknown suspect struck him from behind. The victim stated that after being struck, he heard an unknown male say "give me your money". The victim stated he complied and turned over a small amount of U.S. currency. He then saw three males flee the area on foot. Several officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspects. The victim was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for a minor injury to his head.
