Theft of packages Odenton
On December 13, 2016 at approximately 4:35 pm, the Anne Arundel County Police Department received a call from a citizen advising they witnessed two males stealing packages from the front step of an address in the 1000 block of Spring Hill Way in Odenton. The citizen was able to provide that the individuals had fled in a red Dodge Charger. Several officers, including the police helicopter responded to canvass the area for the suspects.
A short time later, observers from the helicopter located the suspect vehicle traveling on Waugh Chapel Road towards Route 3. Officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle on Route 3 (SB) at Evergreen Road. During the course of the traffic stop, officers observed a postal package on a passengers lap and several packages inside the vehicle. The packages were found to be addressed to five different addresses in the Odenton and Gambrills area. The two suspects were placed under arrest and charged. All packages were returned to the rightful owners. The total value of all packages taken was $3117.17. The suspects were charged with one count of theft over $1000.00 three counts under a $1000.00, and one count of theft under $100.00.
