Armed Robbery - Brooklyn Park
On August 21, 2017 at approximately 11:44 p.m., officers responded to the 4904 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park for an armed robbery of a citizen. The adult female victim stated after using an ATM machine located at the Brooklyn Park Shopping Center, she was approached by the suspect who demanded her money. When she refused, the suspect forcibly took the money from her. The suspect then fled the area. Numerous officers including a canine unit responded and canvassed the area but the suspect was not located. The victim was uninjured/refused medical treatment.
Suspect: Black male, 25-27 years old
Shooting - Brooklyn Park
On August 21, 2017 at approximately 6:40 p.m., officers responded to the area of Brookwood Road and East 11th Avenue for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival officers located shell casings on the sidewalk in the 4900 block of Brookwood Road. No property damage or victims were located. Northern District Detectives are investigating this incident. No further information is available at this time.
