Serious Injury Crash Glen Burnie
On July 22, 2017 at approximately 4:34 p.m. officers responded to RT 10 near RT 695 Glen Burnie for a report of a serious injury crash.
Information from witnesses indicated a 2011 Honda Coupe was northbound on RT 10 approaching RT 695. The driver lost control of the vehicle. Upon losing control, the Honda crossed the solid yellow line onto the northbound median, subsequently striking a tree in the median before coming to rest. The driver sustained life-threatening injuries. Witnesses advised no other vehicles were involved. There were no passengers in the vehicle.
The driver was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma and is in critical condition at this time. Next of kin was notified and responded to the hospital.
Speed is believed to be a factor in this crash.
Traffic Safety is handling the investigation. Any charges are pending review by the States Attorney.

Commercial Robbery Odenton
On July 21, 2017 at approximately 10:51 a.m., officers responded to the BP gas station located at 1604 Annapolis Road in Odenton for a robbery. A male approached the clerk, displayed a knife and demanded cash from the register. The clerk complied and the suspect fled with an undetermined amount of currency.

Commercial Robbery Laurel
On July 22, 2017 at approximately 7:21 a.m., officers responded for a robbery at the Wendy’s located at 3563 Russett Green East. The employee told officers that as he was opening the business, a male approached him, pointed a black handgun at him and demanded cash. The victim complied and the suspect fled with an undetermined amount of U.S. currency. Officers searched the area with the assistance of the police K-9 unit but were unable to locate the suspect.
Suspect: Male, black, 30-40 years of age, 5’11” tall, heavy build wearing dark clothing
