Bank Robbery Glen Burnie
On July 19, 2017 at 12:12 hours, officers responded to the Capital One Bank located at 7937 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie for a robbery. A male entered the bank passed a note to a teller demanding cash. The teller complied, giving the suspect an undetermined amount of U.S. currency. The suspect then fled on foot out of the bank. Officers searched the area with the assistance of the police K9 unit but were unable to locate the suspect. No weapons were displayed and no injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
1) Male, black, mid-30s, 6’00” tall, medium build, dark complexion, shoulder length dreadlocks, wearing dark clothing.
Carjacking/Robbery Arrest Pasadena
On July 19, 2017 at 1:44 p.m., officers responded to the Home Depot located at 66 Mountain Road in Pasadena for a carjacking. Loss prevention agents from the store reported that the suspect stole property from the store and attempted to leave the area in his vehicle. As the suspect was attempting to flee in his vehicle, he struck an object in the parking lot rendering his vehicle inoperable. The suspect then pulled a driver from another vehicle, assaulted him and fled the area in that vehicle. The suspect, who had left his wallet inside the vehicle that he abandoned, was quickly identified as Douglas Hadaway of Baltimore.
Officers responded to the area of Hadaway’s last known address and located Hadaway driving the stolen vehicle just over the county line on Patapsco Avenue in Baltimore. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop and Hadaway bailed out of the vehicle and fled on foot. After a foot pursuit, Hadaway was taken into custody. He was charged with robbery, carjacking, theft, assault and related charges.
