Att. Armed Robbery                                                                                     Severn

 

On May 23, 2018 at approximately 9:25 a.m., officers responded for an attempted armed robbery at the CVS located at 2600 Annapolis Road in Severn. The suspect entered the store, displayed a knife and demanded cash from the cashier. The cashier shouted, causing the suspect to flee. The suspect, who did not obtain any money from the cashier, ran toward Disney Road.  Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

 

Suspect:

 

1)      White male, approximately 25-35 years old, 5’7”-5’8”, wearing khaki shorts, black jacket with red and white stripes, sunglasses, and a dark colored hat with a white logo

 

 

Western District

 

Handgun Arrest                                                                                            Brooklyn Park

                                                                                                                       

On May 24th, 2018 at approximately 1:51 a.m., officers responded for an armed subject inside the 7-Eleven store located in the 4000 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park.  While responding to the location, a citizen provided a description of the suspect that they believed to be concealing a gun.

 

When officers arrived they located and detained the suspect inside the store.  During a search of the suspect, officers recovered a ski mask, prescription pills, and a loaded Smith & Wesson Model 32 revolver from his pants pocket.  Through investigation it was learned that the suspect is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to prior convictions.

 

Suspect/arrested:

 

1)      David Marshall Smith

21 years old

Northern District

 

Att. Commercial Burglary Arrest                                                               Glen Burnie

 

            On May 24, 2018 at approximately 1:15 a.m., officers observed three suspicious males near Glen Burnie Motor Sports located at 20 Holsum Way in Glen Burnie.  The males began to flee as the officers approached.  One of the males was attempting to conceal a large set of bolt cutters inside of his pants and was wearing a homemade mask.  This suspect was apprehended by officers.  The two other subjects eluded officers and were not apprehended.

Suspects:

 

1)      Black male, 20-25 yoa, 5’9”, 175 lbs, wearing light gray hooded sweatshirt

2)      Black male, 20-25 yoa, 5’10”, 160 lbs
