Shooting Brooklyn Park
On April 7, 2018 at approximately 2:25 p.m., officers responded to the 900 block of Victory Avenue in Brooklyn Park for a shooting. Preliminary investigation determined that during a verbal altercation, the suspect produced a handgun and shot the two victims before fleeing the scene. One adult male victim that had been shot in the upper body was driven to Harbor Hospital by a friend prior to the arrival of first responders. His injuries were non-life threatening. A second adult male victim that had been shot in the leg and arm was later located in the area of Ballman Court. He too had non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Shock Trauma.
This is still an active investigation however this appears to be an isolated incident where the suspect is known to the victims. Due to the ongoing investigation no further information is being released. An update will be provided when more information is available. Both victims

Eastern District
Single Vehicle Crash Annapolis
On April 7, 2018 at approximately 2:31 p.m., officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Pleasant Plains Road at Milvale Road in Annapolis. Preliminary investigation revealed that a USPS mail truck was traveling southbound on Pleasant Plains Road when for unknown reasons the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was transported to Shock Trauma with life threatening injuries.
The preliminary cause of the crash appears to driver error. Neither speed nor alcohol is a contributing factor. The Traffic Safety Section is handing the investigation.
