Commercial Burglary Hanover
On January 7, 2018 at approximately 6:20 a.m., officers responded to the Hanover Armory located at 1327 Ashton Road in Hanover for a burglary. When officers arrived at the business they observed the front door glass had been broken. Investigation determined that four suspects entered through the front door and stole thirteen firearms before fleeing prior to police arrival.
Since the business is a federally licensed firearms dealer, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF) Baltimore Field Division and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, have announced a combined reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible.
The photographs being released are the only photographs we have and this time and the business surveillance video is not yet available for media release. Suspects: Four unknown suspects
Attempted Citizen Robbery Severn
On January 6, 2018 at approximately 6:16 p.m., officers responded to the Crofton Center Shopping Center in the 1600 block of Crofton Center for the report of an attempted robbery of a citizen. Upon arrival the victim stated that while sitting in her vehicle, a female opened her driver’s door and demanded her purse or she would shoot her. There were no weapons displayed and the victim refused to give the suspect her purse. The suspect got into a vehicle parked nearby and fled north on Rt. 3. Numerous officers canvassed the area but did not locate the suspect or vehicle. There were no injuries
