Assault                                                                                                                        Gambrills

            On Thursday, September 27 at approximately 12:45 in the afternoon, officers responded to a powerline access area off of Johns Hopkins Road in Gambrills for an injured subject. Upon arrival officers located an adult male victim who had been seriously assaulted. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in serious condition. There is no additional information and detectives are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the assault. UPDATE:

While receiving treatment at the hospital it was determined the victims injuries were due to gunshot wounds. The wounds were to his upper and lower body and he is expected to survive his injuries. Detectives are still actively investigating this case and believe this to be a targeted incident.
