Northern District
Armed Commercial Robbery Brooklyn Park
On September 26, 2018 at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded to the Family Dollar Store located at 5009 Ritchie Highway for the report of a robbery. A male suspect entered the store, displayed a knife and took several items from behind the counter. The suspect then fled the business on foot. A second robbery was reported at the Dollar General Store located at 5107 Ritchie Highway. A male suspect entered the store, displayed a knife, stole merchandise and fled. Officers searched the area and quickly located the juvenile suspect a short distance away. He was taken into custody and charged as an adult. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Home Invasion Pasadena
On September 25, 2018 at approximately 7:10 p.m., officers responded to the 7800 block of Willing Court in Pasadena for a home invasion. The female homeowner was standing out in front of her residence when she was approached by a male subject who asked for a cigarette. When she refused, a second male suspect approached the homeowner, displayed a handgun and pushed his way into the house. The first subject then fled from the area. The suspect who entered the house went into a bedroom, grabbed a purse and attempted to flee from the residence. The homeowner’s husband returned home and confronted the suspect. After a brief struggle, the suspect fled from the residence with an undetermined amount of currency.

EASTERN DISTRICT
Injury Crash Pasadena
On September 27th 2018 at approximately 1:56a.m officers responded to a single vehicle crash on Paul T. Pitcher Memorial Hwy (MD-100) near MD-10 in Pasadena.
A Chevy pickup was westbound on M-100 when it drifted left off the roadway, jumped a guardrail and struck numerous trees. The unbelted driver was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore in critical condition.
The preliminary cause of the crash is failure to remain in a single lane. The Traffic Safety Section is handing the investigation and any charges will be after review by the States Attorney.
