Search Warrant / CDS Arrest - Annapolis

In October of 2018 the Special Investigations and Narcotics Section Major Offenders Unit received a complaint that was sent through MEMA’s “Safe Schools Maryland” tip line regarding two suspects who were selling controlled dangerous substances in the Broadneck area. On November 16, 2018, a search warrant was executed at a residence located in the 1200 block of Hilltop Drive in Annapolis. Seized from the residence was the following:

• Six zip lock bags containing home-made edibles with THC
• Large zip lock bag containing home-made edibles with THC
• CDS paraphernalia - Scale, bags, and heat sealer      

One adult male suspect was arrested and one juvenile male suspect was charged on a juvenile citation and released to a parent.

Suspects:

1) Jason Anthony Carcamo

DOB: 5-25-2000

Charges:

• Possession of CDS
• Possession of CDS with intent to distribute

2) 16 year old male

Annapolis, MD 21409

Charged on Juvenile Citation

• Possession of CDS
• Possession of CDS with intent to distribute

Eastern District

Fatal Pedestrian Crash - Severna Park

On November 17, 2018 at approximately 12:45 a.m. officers responded to a report of a pedestrian crash at 105 West Earleigh Heights Road in Severna Park.

Investigation revealed a Ford F350 was backing in the driveway at 105 West Earleigh Heights Road when the driver exited the vehicle. The vehicle continued to roll and struck the driver who had exited the vehicle. The vehicle came to a stop in a ditch.  The owner later found the vehicle in the ditch and attempted to move it before realizing the victim/driver was beneath the vehicle.   The driver was declared dead at the scene by Fire Department personnel and taken to the Medical Examiner’s office in Baltimore for autopsy. 

The primary cause is still under investigation. Alcohol use by the driver appears to have been a significant contributing circumstance.  The Traffic Safety Section is handing the investigation and the case will be reviewed by the States Attorney.
