Police Press Release - June 11, 2018
Assault Glen Burnie
On June 9, 2018 at approximately 2:22 a.m. officers responded to Baltimore Washington Medical Center located at 301 Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie for a shooting/assault that occurred earlier. Upon arrival, officers met with the 50 year-old and 46 year-old male victims from Glen Burnie that had a non-life threatening gunshot wounds to their upper bodies. The victims stated while driving in the area of Furnace Branch Road and Route 10, a vehicle pulled alongside them and the front passenger began shooting at them. The two victims drove home and then realized that they had superficial wounds as a result of the shooting. They then drove themselves to the hospital.
An area canvass was conducted in the area of Furnace Branch Road and no other victims or property damage was located. The victims advised officers/detectives that they believe this incident was not a random act. There is no further information available. Detectives continue to investigate the incident.
Robbery Brooklyn Park
On June 10, 2018 at approximately 2:24 a.m., officers responded for an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven store located at 4000 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park. A male suspect entered the store, displayed a knife and demanded cash. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the store in an unknown direction. Officers canvassed the area, however were unable to locate the suspect.
