Attempt Carjacking-Shots fired
On July 30, 2021 at approximately 0051 hours, Northern District Officers responded to a shots fired call at the 200 block of Woodhill Drive and Oak Manor Drive, Glen Burnie MD. Responding officer’s canvassed the area and located spent shell casings in the roadway. A short time later, officers were directed to a local hospital for an injured adult male suffering gunshot wounds to the upper torso. The injuries are non-life threatening at this time. A second adult male victim was also located with no reported injuries. Preliminary investigation revealed two unknown suspects approached the victims and attempted to take the vehicle. As the victims drove away, shots were fired striking the vehicle and one of the victims.

Shots Fired / Arnold
On July 29, 2021, at approximately 11:10 a.m. officers responded for a report of gunshots fired in the area of Bay Green Drive and Bay Dale Drive in Arnold. Officers located and collected evidence of the gunshots at the scene. Officers searched the area but did not locate any suspects or victims. No injuries or damage were reported as a result of this incident. Eastern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6145. Gunshots Fired; Dest. to Property (ARREST UPDATE) / Annapolis
On July 25, 2021 at approximately 6:33 a.m., Eastern District officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Bellerive Road in Annapolis for a destruction to auto. Officers met with the victim who reported two bullet holes in the rear of her Toyota SUV. Upon further investigation officers located several shell casings and a second vehicle with the rear window shot twice. Officers and Evidence Collection Unit personnel located 13 shell casings in the first row of the parking lot along with two unspent rounds of ammunition. Five shell casings were also found in the far corner of the parking lot. A fourth vehicle, a Honda, was located with bullet damage and two shell casings at the rear bumper. A second scene was located where a stray bullet penetrated the third-floor window of a residence in the 600 block of Baystone Court. One spent round was located. Investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at a residence at which time a person of interest was identified and two 9mm handguns and suspected marijuana were seized. This is an open and ongoing investigation. Additional information will be provided as it is received. Update (July 30, 2021):
Following the execution of the search warrant on July 25, 2021 at a residence in the 500 block of Bellerive Road, detectives arrested 22 year old, Brandon Charles Louis Downs of Annapolis, charging him with weapons violations.
Additionally, through investigation, two persons of interest were identified and, on July 30, 2021, detectives served arrest warrants charging 22 year old Keyori Tyqueze Medley of Annapolis and 22 year old Christopher Dwight Watts, also of Annapolis, with weapons violations.
Even though arrests have been made, this is still an active and fluid investigation where the Anne Arundel County Police are urging anyone with information to come forward by calling the Eastern District Detective Unit at 410-222-6145.
