On April 28, 2021 at approximately 8:50 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop of a green Honda in the area of Green Branch Lane and Green Leaf Terrace in Glen Burnie. Upon approaching the vehicle the officer observed a jar containing suspected marijuana in plain view within the vehicle. The investigation led to a search of the vehicle which resulted in the seizure of a 9mm Luger LC handgun loaded with seven rounds of ammunition. The driver was arrested.

Destruction (Shots Fired) / Laurel

On April 29, 2021 at approximately 2:00 a.m. officers responded for a report of gunshots fired in the 100 block of Jill Lane in Laurel. The victim reported she was inside her residence when she heard a popping noise. The then observed her sliding glass door shatter. The investigation revealed that the round went through the back of a chair on her patio, through the glass door, through the blinds, then lodged into the victim’s couch.  An area canvass for witnesses was conducted and neighbors heard what sounded like a disturbance or argument in a nearby parking lot prior to the gunshot.  No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
