Highlight Budget Investments to Clean Up Waterways

Annapolis, MD (July 22, 2015) – County Executive Steve Schuh and other county officials will tour the Old Bay Ridge Culvert Repair, a stormwater management project on Friday July 24th at 10:00 AM.

As a part of the effort to help reduce stormwater pollution, Anne Arundel County identified the need to replace the failed culvert near Old Bay Ridge Road in Annapolis. In addition, the project included the installation of a Step Pool Storm Conveyance System (SPSC) to convey and treat stormwater flows in the area.

The enacted FY 2016 budget protects our waterways and the Bay through $70 million to support critical projects, including 1.5 miles of stormwater pipe repairs, over 300 outfall projects, 74 stormwater pond retrofits, and 9 miles of stream restorations.
