Dwelling Fire- Arnold
On September 1st around 1 a.m. firefighters were alerted to a reported dwelling fire in the 400 block of Broadwater Road. A passerby called 9-1-1 after seeing flames from the home and receiving no response knocking on the doors. Firefighters arrived to locate fire from the attic area on one side of the two-story single family dwelling. Thirty firefighters from Anne Arundel County and the United States Naval Academy brought the fire under control in about 20 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation by members of the Anne Arundel County Fire and Explosives Investigation unit. Damages are estimated at $50,000. There were no occupants home at the time of the fire and no injuries.
