Dwelling Fire- Brooklyn Park
On October 2nd at 12:32 p.m firefighters responded to a report of a dwelling fire in the 200 block of Elizabeth Avenue. Multiple 9-1-1 callers reported the rear of a home on fire in that area. Firefighters arrived to find a motorcycle on fire next to the house with fire extending into the interior of the split level home. Firefighters from Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, and Baltimore County brought the fire under control in less than 20 minutes. The cause of the fire has been determined to be accidental, resulting from a mechanical malfunction of the motorcycle. Damages are estimated at $30,000. Three adult residents of the home have been displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross. There were no injuries.
