Dwelling Fire- Pasadena
On July 15th around 3:35 a.m. firefighters responded to a reported dwelling fire in the 3400 block of Brookhaven Road. Several area residents called 9-1-1 reporting that a house was on fire in that area. One caller reported that they believed there was an occupant trapped in the home. Firefighters arrived to find fire coming from the front of the two-story, single-family dwelling. They immediately made entry into the home and quickly located an removed an unconscious occupant from the second floor. Firefighters removed the 52-year-old female and transferred her to the care of paramedics who began life-saving care. Paramedics transported her to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries.
The fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes by 35 firefighters. Personnel remained on the scene for several hours for overhaul and investigation purposes. The cause of the fire is under investigation by members of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit. Damages are estimated at approximately $150,000. Two other occupants of the home have been displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross. There were no other injuries.
