Elvaton Road Reopens After Much-Needed Culvert Replacement Work
Annapolis, Maryland (September 1, 2017) - Following the completion a capital project to replace a full culvert, Elvaton Road has reopened to traffic. The culvert replacement was needed to address flooding due to culvert capacity and to stabilize the outfall that was undermining the roadway embankment.
The closure began June 12, 2017 and was scheduled during the summer months to maintain safety during construction, limit the project's impact on motorists and residents, and provide the contractor enough time to complete the project prior to the start of the school year.
