Commercial Robbery Arrest                                                 Glen Burnie

Anne Arundel County Police Department Criminal Investigation Commercial Robbery Unit detectives close four (4) commercial armed robberies by arrest.

 

On June 19th at approximately 0421 hours, Officers responded to the 7-11 at 705 Greenway SE, Glen Burnie, for an armed robbery that had just occurred. A black male and black female entered the business and announced a robbery. The male suspect was armed with a handgun. The suspects took numerous packs of cigarettes and US Currency prior to fleeing the business on foot.

 

On June 24th, at approximately 0245 hours, a robbery occurred at the 7-11 at 7753 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd, Glen Burnie.  A black male and black female suspect entered the business and announced a robbery. The male was armed with a handgun. The suspects obtained cigarettes and US Currency prior to fleeing the business on foot.

 

On July 3rd, at approximately 0010 hours, an armed robbery occurred at the Pizza Bolis located at 300 Crain Hwy N, Glen Burnie. Two suspects forced an employee back inside the business as the business was closing. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The suspects obtained US Currency prior to fleeing the business on foot.

 

On July 7th, at 0135 hours, an armed robbery occurred at the 7-11 located at 495 Old Mill Rd, Millersville. A black male entered the business, armed with a handgun and announced a robbery. The suspect obtained US Currency and cigarettes prior to fleeing the business on foot.

 

Through the investigation, detectives were able to link one of the suspects to all of these robberies. An arrest warrant was obtained charging Michael Sean Manuel of Glen Burnie with numerous armed robbery, assault, and handgun/firearms offenses related the above four robberies.  Manuel was located and taken into custody on July 13th by members of the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Fugitive Apprehension Team.  A search warrant was executed at Manuel’s home and vehicle where several items of evidence linked to the robberies was recovered. 

 

At the time of this release, Manuel was being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.

 

The investigation is continuing to positively identify the second suspect and anyone else who may have been involved in these robberies.  Detectives are also looking into Manuel’s possible involvement in other robberies both in Anne Arundel County and surrounding jurisdictions.
