County Executive Steve Schuh to Ride in Lifeline100 Bicycle Event
Event Raised $18,000 for County Nonprofits in 2014
Annapolis, MD (October 12, 2015) –County Executive Steve Schuh will ride in the second annual Lifeline100 Bicycle Event at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville this Sunday October 18th.
“The Lifeline100 helps showcase the beauty of cycling through our county,” said Schuh. “I encourage cyclists young and old to take part in this exciting ride.”
The event, organized by Anne Arundel County and Bicycle Advocates for Annapolis & Anne Arundel County (“BikeAAA”), offers rides for every age and ability with flat 15 and 30 mile paved trail rides and 65 and 100 mile rides that traverse the county with scenic views of the Severn River, Chesapeake Bay, Annapolis and more.
There is also a free Children’s Bike Rodeo for ages 4 -10 from 12:30 – 3:30. Parents should reserve a free timeslot at www.lifeline100.com/rodeo .
Also at Kinder Farm Park the day of the event is the free “Make Health Happen” community health fair hosted by The Healthy Anne Arundel Coalition. The fair offers 17 fun and healthy activities and exhibits for adults and children.
All proceeds of the Lifeline100 ride benefit in-county non-profits. In the 2014 inaugural ride, over 500 participated and $18,000 was donated to non-profits.
