County Executive Steve Schuh to Get Dunked at County Fair
Annapolis, MD (September 17, 2015) – County Executive Steve Schuh will get dunked at the Anne Arundel County Fair on Saturday September 19th.
“The County Fair is a timeless Anne Arundel tradition,” said Schuh. “The event provides a great opportunity for residents to eat great food, appreciate agriculture and learn more about community organizations.”
From 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm, the County Executive will participate in the Annapolis U.S. Army Recruiting Center Dunking Booth located in the “Fun Zone” of the fairgrounds. The booth helps raise awareness about service in the U.S. military.
“I expect members of the County Council to be first in line,” joked Schuh. “I am laying out a challenge to all citizens across our county: try and dunk me!”
The County Executive will also participate in the 4H livestock auction at 7:00 pm.
The County Fair is held at 1450 General’s Highway (Route 178) in Crownsville and dates back to 1953. The event includes carnival rides and games, animal exhibits, monster trucks, pony rides, garden tractor pulls, pig races, pie-eating contests, hamster ball and camel rides, and fun for the whole family.
Tickets are $7 for those age 16 and older and $5 for those under age of 16 to 6. Children age 5 and under have free admission. All citizens of Anne Arundel County are encouraged to attend.
