County Executive Steve Schuh Recognizes County Departments for Exemplary Performance During Snow Storm

Annapolis, MD (February 8, 2016) –At a meeting organized by the Anne Arundel County Office of Emergency Management, County Executive Steve Schuh today recognized the efforts of 13 county departments for their exemplary efforts during January’s historic Winter Storm Jonas.
“I could not have been more pleased with how effectively our departments performed during such a challenging weather event,” said Schuh. “The dedication, work ethic, and professionalism of our county employees during such a serious weather event continues to inspire me.”
Schuh recognized the work of the Anne Arundel County Police Department, Fire Department, Office of Emergency Management, Department of Public Works, Department of Aging and Disabilities, Office of Central Services, Department of Inspection and Permits, Department of Social Services, Department of Health, Department of Detention Facilities, Office of Animal Control, Office of Constituent Services, and the Housing Commission of Anne Arundel County.
Anne Arundel County received a record 29.2 inches of snowfall during the weather event.
