CDS Violation - Brooklyn

On December 21, 2015, at approximately 11:39 p.m. officers from the Northern District conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation at Ritchie Highway and Church Street in Brooklyn.  Upon initial contact with the driver the officer recognized the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.  A search yielded the recovery of two large heat sealed air tight zip lock bags containing approximately 266.3 grams of marijuana which has an approximate street value of $5,326.00.  A continued search of the suspect revealed $3,610.00 in U.S. Currency in multiple denominations.  The subject was arrested and charged with multiple drug offenses.
