Executive Summary for Childs Point Road Fire

What: Release of the Executive Summary for the Childs Point Road Fire
When: On Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at 9:00 a.m., the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Anne Arundel County Fire Department (AAFD) will release the “Executive Summary” for the investigation of the fire that occurred at 936 Childs Point Road in Annapolis, MD on January 19, 2015. The report will be emailed in PDF format to established media contacts and a link will be provided for downloading the report. The report is 43 pages long and will include detailed information pertaining to the investigation to include a timeline of events, the Cause & Origin determination, and data relevant to controlled burns of Christmas trees conducted at the ATF Fire Research Laboratory (FRL).
On Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 12:00 p.m., a DVD that contains video footage of the controlled burns that occurred at the ATF FRL will be made available to the media. The DVD also includes high-resolution images of the photos that appear throughout the Executive Summary as well as other various photos relevant to the investigation. At this distribution, ATF Special Agents will be available to answer questions generated by the Executive Summary. The distribution of the DVD will take place at:
