ATF and Anne Arundel County Fire Department Release Executive Summary for Childs Point Road Fire Investigation
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Anne Arundel County Fire Department (AAFD) have released the “Executive Summary” for the investigation of the fire that occurred at 936 Childs Point Road in Annapolis, MD on January 19, 2015. The report is 43 pages long and includes detailed information pertaining to the investigation including a timeline of events, the Cause & Origin determination, and data relevant to controlled burns of Christmas trees conducted at the ATF Fire Research Laboratory (FRL).
A DVD that contains video footage of the controlled burns that occurred at the ATF FRL will be made available to the media today at noon at the Anne Arundel County Fire Department Headquarters. The DVD also includes high-resolution images of the photos that appear throughout the Executive Summary as well as other various photos relevant to the investigation. A brief explanation of the contents of the DVD will be available at the time of distribution. Both ATF and AAFD PIOs will be available to answer questions.
