Anne Arundel County Police Report 3/5/2018

Western District

Shots Heard                                                                                                   Odenton

On March 4, 2018 at approximately 11:33 p.m., officers responded to the area of Rainy Spring Court and Blue Water Boulevard in Odenton for possible gunshots. Officers spoke to witness that advised they heard gun shots in the wooded area of Rainy Spring Court near the railroad tracks.  Several officers and police canine responded to canvass the area and woods. Nothing suspicious or evidence of activity was observed and no damage or evidence of shots fired was located.  

Attempt- Citizen Armed Robbery                                                               Gambrills

            On March 4, 2018 at approximately 1:24 p.m., officers responded to the Waugh Chapel Shopping Center located in the 2600 block of Chapel Lake Drive in Gambrills for an attempted armed-robbery. The adult female victim reported that approximately 25 minutes prior, she was approached by the suspect in the parking lot. The suspect produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s purse.  The victim refused and drove away from the scene. Numerous officers responded to canvass the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Suspect: Black female, approximately early 40’s, medium height, medium weight, wearing dark clothes with dark sunglasses

Assault                                                                                                            Crofton

On March 3, 2018 at approximately 3:06 p.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of Savoy Court in Crofton for a subject armed with a gun. The 17 year-old victim stated the suspect (who was known to the victim) attempted to enter the residence with the intent to fight. When the victim confronted the suspect outside, there was verbal altercation at which time the suspect brandished what appeared to be a handgun. The suspect then got into a vehicle and fled the area.

Several officers responded to canvass the area and located the suspect a short distance away. Recovered from the suspect was a BB gun which had the appearance of a real firearm. The suspect was arrested and charged with 1^st degree assault, attempted 1^st degree burglary and related charges.

Northern District

Assault                                                                                                            Pasadena

On March 4, 2018 at approximately 6:28 p.m., officers responded to the 7800 block of Huff Court in Pasadena for a stabbing. Witness stated that two adult female roommates were involved in a verbal altercation which turned physical. As other parties at the scene attempted to break up the fight, the suspect stabbed an adult male in his torso. During the altercation a child also suffered a laceration to the arm. The adult male victim was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma with non-life threatening injuries. The child was transported to an area hospital where they were treated and released. The suspect, who is known to all parties, fled the scene prior to police arrival. An application of charges was submitted charging him with 1^st degree assault and other related charges.
