Anne Arundel County Government to Host “Bring Your Child to Work Day" April 26th
Annapolis, MD (April 25, 2018)-Anne Arundel County today announced it is encouraging employees to bring their child to work on Thursday April 26th.
“‘Bring Your Child to Work Day’ provides a great chance for our employees to show their children the importance of public service,” said County Executive Steve Schuh. “I encourage all of our employees to participate.”
Children from the ages of 8 to 18 are eligible to participate. The event was created in New York City in the summer of 1992 by the Ms. Foundation for Women. The first celebration took place on April 22, 1993, and has since been celebrated on the fourth Thursday of April in order for the 37 million children, parents, schools in over 3.5 million workplaces across the country, in addition to participants in over 200 countries around the world, to plan ahead for the annual event.
