Anne Arundel County Budget Office Wins Distinguished Budget Presentation Award
Annapolis, MD (December 22, 2016) – County Executive Steve Schuh today announced that Anne Arundel County Budget Office has been awarded the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for the FY 2017 budget.
“Our budget team in Anne Arundel County is the best in the business,” said Schuh. “The dedication to detail demonstrated by Budget Officer John Hammond and his team is setting an example for the nation.”
The Distinguished Budget Presentation Award reflects the commitment of the governing body and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. In order to receive the budget award, the entity had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for an effective budget presentation.
“Thank you to the GFOA for this fantastic honor,” said Budget Officer John Hammond. “I would like to sincerely thank the entire budget team as this award would not be possible without their hard work and dedication.”
