Kinder Farm Park
Details:Stop by the Kinder Farm Park Blacksmith Shop and watch the Chesapeake Forge Blacksmith Guild members forging metal, using various tools. Stand on the sidelines and view a trade that is over 100 years old but still very much alive today at Kinder Farm Park. The Blacksmith Shop is open on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Monday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The Ethics Commission is regularly scheduled to meet on the second Monday of each month, beginning at 4:00 p.m., in the commission’s office, unless rescheduled by the commission. The commission will also have a contingent meeting scheduled for the third Monday of each month. The open portion of the meeting is usually quite brief, about 5-15 minutes. Visitors are welcome to attend the open portion of the meeting. If a person would like to bring a matter to the commission's attention or otherwise be heard during either the open or closed portion of the meeting, that person must notify the commission at least 24 hours prior to the meeting, providing that person's name and contact information. The commission has the discretion to permit a person to address the commission during a meeting, and may limit the time for the remarks of any speaker. The commission will not respond to questions or comments during a meeting, but upon request, will respond in writing to any speaker within a reasonable time after the meeting.

Details:The Chesapeake Forge Blacksmith Guild meets every Monday at 7:00 p.m. Members learn and practice new techniques as they work on their projects. No registration required. No gate fees.
The Bicycle Advisory Commission meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at various locations in Anne Arundel County. Bicycle Advisory Commission meeting location to be determined.
A public meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Severna Park Middle School, 450 Jumpers Hole Rd, Severna Park, MD 21146.
During the meeting, DPW will discuss the schematic-level design of planned roadway improvements along Jumpers Hole Road from Benfield Road to Kinder Road. These improvements are intended to improve safety, mobility, and accessibility for all road users. This project will change the character of the road to align with the County’s Complete Streets Policy – better serving the transportation needs of all users. DPW will also discuss future stages of design and construction, each of which will include a separate public outreach phase. Construction is expected to start in fall 2024.

Join our Stream Water Chemistry volunteer team to conduct field tests on dissolved oxygen content, and other parameters, at important streams feeding Jug Bay. Water samples are also collected for lab analysis. This is a great way to learn how to use professional equipment, see the park, and become involved in habitat monitoring efforts. Free.
