Stand on the sidelines and view a trade that is over 100 years old but still very much alive today at Kinder Farm Park. Details: The Board of Electrical Examiners hears complaints with reference to violations of Title 11, Article 4, of the Anne Arundel County Code and advises the Director of Inspection and Permits of its findings and recommendations. You will also be able to view the inauguration in its entirety on Arundel TV via YouTube and Cable Channels
       

      Steuart Pittman’s inauguration ceremony as the 10th County Executive of Anne Arundel County will be held at Maryland Hall on Monday, December 3, 2018, at 11:00 am.

    • Sawmill Workshop Time: 9:00a - 12:00p Location: Kinder Farm Park Details:

      Weather permitting, Kinder Farm Park's very own Sawmill Club will be running logs through the mill. Wood milled from the sawmill can be seen around Kinder Farm park, including inside the Tobacco Barn Museum and Visitor Center.

      Antique Equipment and Sawmill Club’s mission is the restoration and display of the park’s antique farm equipment, tractors and sawmill. Our goal is to offer presentations and displays of antique farm tools and equipment so that those participating can experience farm life in historical Anne Arundel County. The lumber from the sawmill is used in many of the small barns and other structures in the park.

    • Plan2040 CAC Meeting Time: 4:30p - 6:30p Location: 2664 Riva Road, Heritage Complex, Annapolis, MD 21401 -Chesapeake Room at 2664 Riva Road Details:

      The Plan2040 Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) provides input to the Office of Planning and Zoning in the development of Plan2040. The Commission consists of a Chair, citizens from each of the seven County Council districts, as well as representatives from the environment, building, education, and planning sectors.

      Meetings are on the first and third Wednesday of each month, tentatively set for 4:30 to 6:30 pm in the Chesapeake Room of the Heritage Office Complex (2664 Riva Road, Annapolis). Meetings are open to the public.

      Due to the significant increase in positive rabies cases experienced in Anne Arundel County, Animal Control is doing its part to help protect all Anne Arundel County pets from the deadly rabies virus.

      Due to health and safety concerns for animals and humans alike, the Rabies Clinic will be canceled on any day that the anticipated heat index is above 100 degrees or if other inclement weather that could jeopardize the safety of pets and humans.

      Time to get off the couch and into nature! Bring your 4-legged best friend and join Park Ranger Fallon Scarantino on a guided hike along the trails of Quiet Waters Park! Along the way we’ll discuss all the dog friendly amenities Quiet Waters Park has to offer as well as upcoming Dog friendly events. We’ll end the walk with “Doggy Social Hour” where the dogs will be invited to run off leash with their new friends at The Dog Park!

      We will meet at Holly Pavilion at 10am. Please dress accordingly and bundle up for the potentially chilly weather! Please email [email protected] for more information and to Pre-Register. Gate Fee does not apply.
