Stand on the sidelines and view a trade that is over 100 years old but still very much alive today at Kinder Farm Park. The Blacksmith Shop is open on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

    • State of Maryland Judiciary System Seminar Time: 1:00pm - 2:00pm Locations: Pascal Senior Activity Center 125 Dorsey Road Glen Burnie, MD 21061 Details: Learn about the Maryland Court System. The discussion will include: an overview of the different levels of courts and the types of cases each one handles; what judges do and how they are selected; and what the clerk’s office is and what it does. Also discussed will be various resources the judiciary makes available to the public to help with many types of common cases, such as landlord/tenant issues, guardianship, small claims, and many others. Presented by Scott Poyer, Clerk of the Circuit Court and a Circuit Court Judge . They will be happy to entertain questions about the judiciary process as well.     • Living Well with Chronic Conditions Time: 9:30am - 12:00pm Locations: Brooklyn Park Senior Activity Center 202 Hammonds Lane Brooklyn Park, MD 21225 Details: This FREE 6-week Chronic Disease Self-Management Program helps those who have been diagnosed with chronic health issues such as heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, asthma, depression, or any other physical or mental health conditions. This workshop teaches participants the selfmanagement skills of action planning, problem solving and decision making. In addition, participants will learn about healthy eating, suggested modes of exercise, and how to manage stress levels. This workshop will meet from February 25– March 31, from 9:30- 12:00.     • Sawmill Workshop Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm Locations: Kinder Farm Park Details:

      Weather permitting, Kinder Farm Park's very own Sawmill Club will be running logs through the mill. Wood milled from the sawmill can be seen around Kinder Farm park, including inside the Tobacco Barn Museum and Visitor Center.

      Antique Equipment and Sawmill Club’s mission is the restoration and display of the park’s antique farm equipment, tractors and sawmill. Our goal is to offer presentations and displays of antique farm tools and equipment so that those participating can experience farm life in historical Anne Arundel County. The lumber from the sawmill is used in many of the small barns and other structures in the park.

    • Weekly Rabies & Microchip Clinic Time: 12:00pm - 3:00pm Locations: 411 Maxwell Frye Road Millersville, MD 21108 Details:

      Low cost rabies vaccinations and microchip implantations are available every Thursday (except holidays) for a period of 3 hours at Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control. Times are dependent on the season and we do have some clinics with special hours.  The veterinarian leaves promptly at the end time for the clinic. Depending on the length of the line, Animal Care & Control may conclude the line at an appropriate time to ensure all individuals remaining in line receive the services.  
        

      Please note clinics are weather permitting and may be canceled for high temperatures, low temperatures, precipitation, air quality or any other factors that may increase risks to citizens or animals at the outdoor clinic. 
        

      Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers.
