    • Blacksmith Shop Workday Time: 1:00pm - 4:00pm Locations: Kinder Farm Park Details: Stop by the Kinder Farm Park Blacksmith Shop and watch the Chesapeake Forge Blacksmith Guild members forging metal, using various tools. Stand on the sidelines and view a trade that is over 100 years old but still very much alive today at Kinder Farm Park. The Blacksmith Shop is open on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

    • Ethics Commission Contingent Meeting (only if called) Time: 4:00pm - 5:00pm Locations: 2666 Riva Road Annapolis, MD 21401 Details:

      The Ethics Commission is regularly scheduled to meet on the second Monday of each month, beginning at 4:00 p.m., in the commission’s office, unless rescheduled by the commission.  The commission will also have a contingent meeting scheduled for the third Monday of each month. The open portion of the meeting is usually quite brief, about 5-15 minutes.  Visitors are welcome to attend the open portion of the meeting.  If a person would like to bring a matter to the commission's attention or otherwise be heard during either the open or closed portion of the meeting, that person must notify the commission at least 24 hours prior to the meeting, providing that person's name and contact information. The commission has the discretion to permit a person to address the commission during a meeting, and may limit the time for the remarks of any speaker. The commission will not respond to questions or comments during a meeting, but upon request, will respond in writing to any speaker within a reasonable time after the meeting.

    • Open Monthly Grief Support Group Time: 2:00pm - 3:00pm Locations: Pasadena Senior Activity Center 4103 Mountain Road Pasadena, MD 21122 Details: The Pasadena Senior Activity Center hosts a monthly grief support group. This is intended for individuals who would like to share and have support amid experiencing difficult loss. It will be held the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Please contact the facilitator Beth Mucciacciaro RN with the Department of Aging and Disabilities at 410- 222-0263 if you are interested. Individual visits are available as well.

    • Sawmill Workshop Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm Locations: Kinder Farm Park Details:

      Weather permitting, Kinder Farm Park's very own Sawmill Club will be running logs through the mill. Wood milled from the sawmill can be seen around Kinder Farm park, including inside the Tobacco Barn Museum and Visitor Center.

      Antique Equipment and Sawmill Club’s mission is the restoration and display of the park’s antique farm equipment, tractors and sawmill. Our goal is to offer presentations and displays of antique farm tools and equipment so that those participating can experience farm life in historical Anne Arundel County. The lumber from the sawmill is used in many of the small barns and other structures in the park.

    • Preschool Storytime Time: 10:30am - 11:30am Locations: Linthicum Community Library Details: Children ages three to five (with caring adult) build the early literacy skills needed for
      school readiness through engaging books, songs and activities.
       
       
    • Safari Slide Show Time: 10:30am - 11:00am Locations: Pasadena Senior Activity Center 4103 Mountain Road Pasadena, MD 21122 Details: Join us for this special event presented by our own Kathy McBee as she provides a slide show and information on her recent safari in Africa. Complete with pictures stories and a question and answer session. This event is sure to be fun and entertaining. 
       
       
    • Van Trip: Red Lobster Time: 11:00am - 1:30pm Locations: South County Senior Activity Center 27 Stepneys Lane Edgewater, MD 21037 Details: Space on the van is limited. Trip is subject to cancellation depending on availability of transportation. A $5.00 reservation fee is due at sign up to reserve your spot on the van. The reservation fee will be refunded on the day of the trip to participants who attend. Money will be forfeited for all cancellations and noshows. Sign up by Wednesday, January 15.

    • Weekly Rabies & Microchip Clinic Time: 12:00pm - 3:00pm Locations: 411 Maxwell Frye Road Millersville, MD 21108 Details:

      Low cost rabies vaccinations and microchip implantations are available every Thursday (except holidays) for a period of 3 hours at Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control. Times are dependent on the season and we do have some clinics with special hours.  The veterinarian leaves promptly at the end time for the clinic. Depending on the length of the line, Animal Care & Control may conclude the line at an appropriate time to ensure all individuals remaining in line receive the services.  
        

      Please note clinics are weather permitting and may be canceled for high temperatures, low temperatures, precipitation, air quality or any other factors that may increase risks to citizens or animals at the outdoor clinic. 
        

      Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers.
