Novice and experienced birders are welcome on this 2-3 mile walk to explore the forests and wetlands in search of the 250+ species of birds that call Jug Bay home, or migrate through. Wear comfortable walking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring a spotting scope and binoculars if you have them. Ages 12 and older. Free with $6 per vehicle park entrance fee. Gate opens at 6:45 am for a 7 am prompt start time.

The Ethics Commission is regularly scheduled to meet on the second Monday of each month, beginning at 4:00 p.m., in the commission’s office, unless rescheduled by the commission. The commission will also have a contingent meeting scheduled for the third Monday of each month. The open portion of the meeting is usually quite brief, about 5-15 minutes. Visitors are welcome to attend the open portion of the meeting. If a person would like to bring a matter to the commission's attention or otherwise be heard during either the open or closed portion of the meeting, that person must notify the commission at least 24 hours prior to the meeting, providing that person's name and contact information. A public meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Severna Park Middle School, 450 Jumpers Hole Rd, Severna Park, MD 21146.
During the meeting, DPW will discuss the schematic-level design of planned roadway improvements along Jumpers Hole Road from Benfield Road to Kinder Road. These improvements are intended to improve safety, mobility, and accessibility for all road users. This project will change the character of the road to align with the County’s Complete Streets Policy – better serving the transportation needs of all users. DPW will also discuss future stages of design and construction, each of which will include a separate public outreach phase. Construction is expected to start in fall 2024.

Ethics Commission Contingent Meeting (only if called) Time: 4:00pm - 5:00pm Locations: 2666 Riva Road Annapolis, MD 21401 Details:
The Ethics Commission is regularly scheduled to meet on the second Monday of each month, beginning at 4:00 p.m., in the commission’s office, unless rescheduled by the commission. The commission will also have a contingent meeting scheduled for the third Monday of each month. The open portion of the meeting is usually quite brief, about 5-15 minutes. Visitors are welcome to attend the open portion of the meeting. If a person would like to bring a matter to the commission's attention or otherwise be heard during either the open or closed portion of the meeting, that person must notify the commission at least 24 hours prior to the meeting, providing that person's name and contact information. The commission has the discretion to permit a person to address the commission during a meeting, and may limit the time for the remarks of any speaker. The commission will not respond to questions or comments during a meeting, but upon request, will respond in writing to any speaker within a reasonable time after the meeting.

Bundle up and join us at the Cedar Pavilion to celebrate the return of light as we take a twilight winter solstice walk. We will talk about winter foliage, where animals burrow, and more.
